Leveling Up With Echobind
As a development agency, Echobind makes it a core tenet to be a friendly, helpful participant in the communities we operate in. We strive to level up everyone: not just our clients.
Community
Many developers who are working with Ember today have a background in Rails. It’s so common in fact, Chris Ball started From Rails to Ember, a blog devoted to helping Rails developers make the leap to a powerful framework in JavaScript land.
In addition, we give back to our local communities by helping organize Ember Meetups in Boston and Louisville. So much of what people enjoy about Ember is the quality of the community. It’s easy to give back to a community that has given so much to us.
Open Source
Do you love addons? We do. Once you’ve worked on a couple projects that implement the same type of behavior, you begin to appreciate the power of this ecosystem. With that in mind, we just released Ember Links With Follower. Like a puppy that follows you around (or maybe a pirate), an underline border animates, following your currently active menu item. A rising tide lifts all boats and every technology we touch is no different.
Training
Although these are great ways to give back to the community, we recognize that some companies need more hands-on learning. We’ve done trainings on both coasts in the US as well as in Canada, Costa Rica, and India. We also offer virtual training, allowing attendees from multiple locations to take part. It’s a new offering that we found to be an effective tool to reach a larger number of people with fewer logistical hurdles.
Level+= 1
Want to level up with Echobind? Let’s talk about what you’re looking for. From basic to advanced, we’re able to assist in getting your developers up to speed with current best practices using this framework and the community we enjoy so much.
